The land
The Fattoria del Presciano lies almost at the centre of the geographical triangle of Arezzo, Siena and Florence, in the hills between the Valdarno and the Valdichiana, on the left bank of the river Arno.
The landscape, typical of inland rural Tuscany, is covered with woods on the higher parts of the hills, planted with vines and olive trees halfway up the slopes, and farmed with crops in the Scerfio valley and on the terraces to the left of the Arno.
Today this area builds its future on its landscape and on its local products — an olive oil said to be among the best in the world, and wine of excellent quality.
In the municipality of Pergine Valdarno lies the hamlet of Pieve a Presciano, a village where life follows the rhythm of the seasons, offering good cultural, economic and social opportunities to the whole community.
