A weekend amidst the scents of autumn

October is a special month for those who live off the land. It is the time when nature prepares for rest, but it is also the perfect moment to share the fruits of our labor. With this spirit, our family participated with great enthusiasm in the second edition of Varchi in Vigna – La vendemmia, recently held in Montevarchi. As reported by ValdarnoPost, the event was a great success, attracting thousands of visitors eager to immerse themselves in the farming culture of our territory.

It was a pleasure to see Piazza Varchi transform into a large vineyard, where we were able to tell the story of our winery in Pieve a Presciano. Located between the Valdarno and Valdichiana areas, our winery was born from the passion of Commendatore Umberto Perrotta and today, thanks to the shared commitment of the Perrotta and Tibaldi families, we work to recover historical vineyards while fully respecting organic farming, certified since 2015.

During the event, we had the opportunity to showcase the distinct characteristics of our wines, born from the constant attention we devote to both the vineyard and the cellar. Among the protagonists of the tastings was our Chianti Superiore DOCG, with its dense ruby red color, which offers notes of blackberry jam and withered roses, enriched by a touch of oak from the large barrels in which it ages. We also presented our Chianti Riserva DOCG, powerful and elegant, capable of best expressing the character of our soil, and our Puer, a fresh, floral white, ideal for pairing with appetizers and fish dishes.

Seeing so many people, including many enthusiasts and tourists, interested in discovering our winery and the rural beauty that surrounds us, filled us with pride.
